Does Lowe's still have the best deal on PC-7424's?

Sorry, I know this topic has been covered a thousand times already. Just seems like all the posts are dated. I want to know what the current best deals are on this machine

Here's the deal.. I live in Canada, and IIRC the best deal on a PC-7424 (if I were to buy it from a Canadian site) is $170CDN + shipping fees.
I have relatives coming over to visit from the USA and they would love to bring back a Porter Cable w/ them if it is available locally.

So, from what I understand Lowe's in selling the PC-7424 for $99? That seems a lot cheaper than the $170 CDN + Shipping!

Any online stores that I am forgetting, that may get me a better deal?

They are leaving this Friday, so I really need to know the answer ASAP.

a friend just bought one at Lowe's two weeks ago...he's out of control with it! He's having so much fun he has started polishing the neighbors' cars.

You can go to the Lowe's website a get a "moving" coupon good for 10% off on all purchases during that visit. I think their price has climbed to $109 (less 10%).

I forget. Does Lowe's sell the PC-7336.. the 7424.. or both?

Don't want to call them up and tell them to pickup the 7424, when all they sell is the 7336.

I know it is the same thing.. That wasn't my question.

I am wondering what model # they sell. They may just have different backing plates, but telling the clerk the wrong model # isn't going to get you anywhere.

They sell the PC but not the proper backing plates. $109 at the Lowes I was at.

they are selling the 7336SP which includes one white foam polishing pad.

Man, I must be going to the wrong Lowes. Every store I've been to does not sell either model. When I finally asked about them, they said they would order one for $246. Haha, right. Guess I gotta go online myself.

zimmerDN: As far as I know, any model with an SP attached is sold as a sander/polisher (comes with polishing pad). Both the 7336SP and 7424 are the same machine but the 7336SP comes with a polishing pad and larger counterweight than the 7424 (6" vs. 5") i believe.
