[Stuff] tends to float downward and I don't want to contaminate any panels after I've polished them, so it's top-down for me too.

It's the hardest panel for me since I'm not too tall.

I've got a drop line in my garage which I throw over top of the garage door tracks to keep it up and out of the way. When I run out of cord I switch sides. I'll start on the hood and then work my way back whichever side my cord is on. When I have gone as far as the cord will comfortably reach....SWITCH.

Then rear quarter, roof, doors, hood and so on, moving to the left. I do the rear bumper area last as it has the most dirt or dust in cracks.

I actually started on the front passanger door, and worked around the front - drivers side - back - and back to the passanger side. I figured that would break up sitting/standing in any one position for too long and would be more comfortable.
