Do you wash foam pads before first use?

I know you're supposed to wash any terry, micro cloth before using it but what about foam polishing pads? Is Dawn ok to use on them?

Dawn is fine to wash them (that's what I use), but I don't think you need to wash them before using them. Just keep in mind that a brand new pad will be a little stiff at first, but will quickly break down and become soft.

Nope, they come sealed in that nice dirt-free plastic bag . Now if only the other people in my house could keep them that way .
