Hook & Loop: Why So Hard to Get Off Backup Pad?

I'm a fairly strong guy but it's a nightmare trying to get the pads off the hook & loop backup pad. The Backup Pad is made by Diskit and the pads are made by Meguiar's. Are all Backup Pads and Pads created equal, as far as H&L is concerned?

Cool

Have Meguiar’s and lake Country backing plates and pads. They’ve always been easy to remove.

PC.
