I loveeeee my new PC!

Hey guys finally got my PC and have used it and I love it! Have been detailing by hand for a few years and wow is the PC a time saver and easier! I got the propel backing plate and pads and the 3.5 plate and 4 inch pads from Sonus and SSR2.5 and Klasse! WIll post some pics when I get my camera charged!

BTW I was testing on a 91 Civic which has NEVER been polished or waxed and had a plethora of swirls, I could not get all the swirls out. I used SSR2.5 and a 4 inch Sonus yellow cutting. I did work the trunk for a while with quite a few passes. I figure I need a more agressive pad? I did try the Propel green pad as well but no luck. The paint did come back to life and become shiney, smooth and deep. But scracthes remain :-/...

You could try a more aggressive pad/product combo, although with the PC, there are limitations as to what it can actually do. I agree that the PC is an awesome machine, but some jobs require a rotary, depending on the degree of neglect.

If you've got an orange pad, try using that. Though, you'll have to get used to it a little because of its firmness.

Yea I figure I will have to step up to a more aggresive combo and I'm sure most defects will not come out with the PC... Oh well... But will get the orange pad once I play with the PC more and get better....

It's a great tool ..If you can feel the scratches with your fingernail, then the PC will have a hard time removing them.

Im just contemplating now on the Meguiars burgundy pad or the Sonus orange... I am just afraid of marring or hazing with the two..
