Chicago rotary: What are the speeds on the dial?

The dial has MIN-1-2-3-MAX. What are the rpm ranges on the dial? Anybody?

Hey, find out what the max speed is then divide by 5, and you should get what each dial spped is. That's how i figured out the speed on my Vector. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the info. That puts speed 1 at about 600rpm's, right? Rotary goes from 300 to 3000 rpm's.

This could all depend. I just learned that the PC's speeds aren't linear. In other words, each step up in number doesn't mean it is the same step up in speed. The move from speed 3 to 4 could be half of the move from speed 5 to 6, etc.

This may or may not apply to your rotary. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer to get the real numbers on this one. You don't want to be *thinking* you are at 1200rpm and really be at 1800, you know?
