Finally gave in and ordered my Makita 9227 which was delivered today, just as I was finishing my car. So, naturally, I had to open it and have a play. I tried some
NXT with a finishing pad (just to be careful!) and found that by tilting the pad slightly is made the rotary much more controllable.
Is this a good thing to do or will it cause problems when I step up to more aggressive pads/products?
