Skil orbital sander for polishing?

there's a 2.6 amp 1200 OPM sander at WalMart for $40- how would this compare to a PC for polishing? they claim it's good for car use.

PC is rated at: 3.7 amps and 2,500 to 6,000 opm.

The WalMart sander looks to be a bit underpowered and slow in comparison. I expect it would work well for wax application and removal, but not be nearly as good for defect correction.
