Fein Rotary WPO-12-27E dial settings vs RPMs

Because I consider Autopia an absolute treasure trove of information, I thought I would try and do my part and contribute this little tidbit about the Fein rotary as it was a little tough for me to find. (Also, just in case I forget the information, I know where to come to find it. )

The Fein polisher doesn't have speed settings on the dial. Instead it has numbers. But nowhere in the manual does it have a table to convert dial settings into approximate RPMs. So I contacted Fein USA to find the answer. It took a while, but thanks to Craig Morrison at Fein USA who went well out of his way to get this info from the parent company, C E Fein, we now know that:

Dial vs RPM
1 = 900
2 = 1500
3 = 2000
4 = 2200
5 = 2500
6 = 2700

I hope other current/future users of the Fein rotary find this useful.

Gees, I could think of alot of better uses for $500. Is that the pro- of- all- pro rotaries or something?

Good info for those who have one or are potentially interested in buying one though, so I'll give you the props you deserve.
