AutoGeek pads

I'm wanting to order the Klasse/Souveran kit from AutoGeek, and I'd also like to order some pads for my PC and SFX backing plate. What kind of pads are these that AutoGeek is selling?

http://www.autogeek.net/vcpad.html

I can never seem to find good pads and also polishes and waxes I want at the same store.

I'd order from ACC if they had Souveran in stock. What to do?

You can try these, no backing plate needed and you can use both sides of the pad when detailing.

The pads Autogeek sells are made by Lake Country, who makes the best pads available IMO. I like to use the 7.5" variable contact pads more with the PC because they allow you to work with the polish more than the standard flat type pads. The only pads I use are the LC VCs and the Megs 6.5" for rotary useage. Give these a shot.

I bought a set, they claimed to be from "Palm Beach Motoring Accessories". They looked a bit like rebranded Lake County pads to me.

As for the Souveran, my vendetta with Autogeek nonwithstanding , you can find a much better deal elsewhere. One place I looked had Souveran for 50 bucks a tin, which is hard to beat. Forgot the name of the place, but I have it bookmarked on my other PC. I'll PM it to ya in the morning.

Also, I might suggest using it over VM or another glaze rather than AIO on black. AIO is fine, but it will reveal flaws, whereas a glaze will tend to hide them.

I think I saw some place called SteeringWheel.... something or other, selling it for $50. But I like to use my PayPal account for buying my detailing stuff, because I use my funds from selling stuff on Ebay. My wife doesn't get so mad that way.

I also like the Free Shipping on certain sites.

Right now, my black 05 Tacoma has AIO, SG x3, and #26 on it. It looks pretty good, but I would like a darker, wetter look. I'm wanting to try Souveran for the first time.

Also, where's a good place to get VM? I don't see their products around very much.

Looks like Excel Detail has some of the stuff I need. I forgot to check them.

Now if they only sold Souveran.

Do Autopians get any kind of discount on their site?

That guy is already dirt cheap and he is a small outfit, anymore cheaper and he'd be giving it away. Pads for 7.49, I have found nowhere that is cheaper for that quality, not even when I buy in bulk can I get them that cheap, anywhere.

Lol, don't blame ya, never hurts to ask. You'd get a kick out of hanging with my girlfriend, she would talk the guy down at 7-11 on the price of a candy bar. Shes a trained negotiator and you would be suprised at the deals she can get people into, including me.

She obviously conned you into marrrying here .
No worries, my wife did the same thing.
How do they do that?

I agree with this. Even though I haven't used it yet, I've heard that RMG is even better than VM (for this specific combo). Actually, the RMG + Souveran combo has been mentioned quite a few times lately.
