Bought a 7336 PC but no velcro on backing plate!

Where do i get the velcro backing plate to fit? Or should i just go to hardware store and glue velcro to the existing plate?

You will want to get a new backing plate. The one that came with it is for sand paper. Excel Detail has a nice kit that comes with the backing plate and pads. http://www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/s...etail&ct=29307

Or you can just buy the packing plate http://www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/s...etail&ct=37932

Gears is an unknown quantity at this point
You don't want to use the backing plate that came with the 7336. Its make for sanding wood.

I use Propel pads and backing plate. Got then from Exceldetail.
Patrick sells a kit that has a backing plate and some pads for $29.99.
There are several plates and pads you can use, everyone has their favorites, but I like Propel.
