Lowes has the 7336 for $109. Same machine, just marketed differently. The only difference is the counterweight, and I've never had a problem with it in my 7336.

Or you could buy one off of a member selling theirs. You'll probably get a few pads with it too.

I won't tell anyone if you don't

You can save $10 (pretty much what the taxes would cost) if you apply for the new mover's discount at the Lowe's website. It'll take about 3 days to be e-mailed to you.

Does HD even carry the PC 7336?
IMO the 7336 is a better machine for auto detailing, because of the heavier counter weight. Less vibration and helps run more efficient with 6" backing plates and pads. This is your out.

under search (on your home page), type in porter cable 7424 or 7336 and you'll get a list of alot of dealers who carry them (find the cheapet price), and you can get save/print the price and most places will match it. here's another ----> http://www.toolseeker.com/Sander/RO/7336.asp?var1=7336

I know HD doesn't sell the Porter Cable, but they do have other Porter Cable products. Couldn't you just ask the Porter Cable sales representative about special ordering one?

We can most likely Special Order the PC. I'll do a little background checking on it & let everyone know. The odd part about the PC is that it's not even listed at HomeDepot.com.
