a 7424 with 7.5" pad

i have a backing plate of 6.5" and was thinking of using 7.5" pads.

is this something that can be done ?

pros and cons ?

i ask because my current orange LC pads are really worn

Sure, you can use the 6.5" bp with 7.5" pads, but I personally prefer to use smaller pads with the PC. I have a stack of 7.5" pads that I bought a while back for my PC that I will now only use on my rotary because I didn't care for the way they worked with the PC. A flat 6" pad like the LC, Sonus, or Propel is the only way to go in my book.

If you already have LC and want something new, then my vote goes to either Sonus DAS or Propel. Both are very good products, you can't go wrong. Propel gives you a couple more pads in the selection category but the Sonus are extremely effective and durable. Pure personal preference on this one.

This thread will help you understand the Propel pads a little better: http://autopia.org/forums/showthread...2&pagenumber=1
