What Pads???????? Help Please!!!
I am going to get the new groit's machine and I am going to get some pads with it, with my pc I used edge 4 inch pads but the power of the griots I am looking at LC 5.5 pads but which ones?? The Kompressors, the flat pads, the groved pads???? Not sure, no idea? I am going to get a flexible backing plate though. I want to order tonight so I might have them by saturday as this is monday. Any suggetsions will be greatly appreciated. I have a 4 door F150 and 2 mustangs to keep clean as well as the few details on the side so I want to step up to bigger pads to hopefully save some time. Thanks again

Yes a few people use them and I've heard nothing but good things but I would go with flat pads. Not knowing what the paint looks like you might want to go with:
2 yellow
2 orange
2 green
3 white
1 or 2 black
1 red
check this link out; might help you pick what you need to get, I think autogeek uses different colors but same think

Those are the cyan and tangerine ones, right?
I haven't used them, but I hear the tangerine one is *very* similar to the ~6" Griot's orange, which I simply *love* via Flex; it's too big for my PCs, dunno if the Griot's machien will have the oomph for it or not (yeah, I know, oughta work since they're all Griot's stuff, but eh.. ).

Re: What Pads???????? Help Please!!!
yeah those are the ones, cyan and tangerine. I really want to try them out but cannot afford to waste any money if they do not perform. I have got to decide soon though.

Re: What Pads???????? Help Please!!!
I have tried the Tangerine Hydrotechs, but with a rotary.
I like em. I used the Tangerine with P203s, and I feel like it did leave a very nice gloss, and took out some water spots too.
Next time, I will try the Cyan, with the P203s to tackle some minor swirls.
Maybe you should also get a black flat pad, in case you want to enhance the gloss after the Tangerine.
So, my take :
Get:
1 cyan (or 2, depending on how much heavy correction needed)
2 Tangerine (1 for medium polish, 1 for a finishing polish)
1 Black Finishing pad. (Flat, just my preference) with a finishing polish
But in my first try with a rotary, I don't think I needed a black pad.

Re: What Pads???????? Help Please!!!
I was checking out the chart and noticed Green LC pads have slighly less cut then white pads? I thought Green was between Orange and White in terms of agressiveness.

Re: What Pads???????? Help Please!!!
i personally would skip on the greens unless your planning on just doing a one-step...
2 orange, 2 white and a black should be great for what your looking to do

At least. I can't keep the various "green foam" pads straight.
