I am learning to love the megs pads more and more, the size does not bother me.

LC sure touts the closed-cell thing with the Hydros.

The Meg's pads... are you talking about the Soft Buff 2.0's? Man, I wish you were closer to St. George... I'm finally up to doing some serious detailing!

Yes the polisher is on the right, dewalt rotary. The 3m piece has a sleeve on it to protect the end that connects to the pad. The wing that comes out closer to the polisher allows you to pull up toward the polisher and it release the pad.

If you want me to get more pics of the 3m Edge system let me know.

And, heh heh...hey, you're not supposed to express enthusiasm for Griot's; "don't you know it's all over-priced" :chuckle

Cool, I look forward to hearing what you think of 'em. I even wonder how they'd work with that M105 v2.0 I sent you That's something I've never tried...

Thanks for posting that, guess 3M is carrying on with the idea. That's the better of the two Edge adaptors, looks a *lot* better than my cheapie model.

Re: Pad discussion...

Can someone clairfy the different foams out there. I thought the new foam allows the product to stay on the top, but I guess I don't know that its called.

Superbee, I really like the 2.0 soft buff pads they just work so well with so many products.

Cheers,
GREG

Re: Pad discussion...

The other cutting pad I have to try out is Surbuf pads Kevin Brown talked with me about them, they sound outstanding, might be a great PFW challenger!

Cheers,
GREG

Im not sure, but checking out 3M's website:

The Edge Buffing Pads

It looks like they may be offer some of the old Edge product line.

What i picked up was an introductory kit from my local Sherwin Williams Automotive (im a sucker for new stuff lol.) But i didnt get a chance to ask them if they would be able to get any in the 6in variety.

As of right now they have it set up in a 3 product system thats color coded, white, black and blue.

there are 2 pads available that i have seen in 6 in and thats the tan and white double sided pads.

Im trying to get in touch with my guy at Sherwin Williams and see if he has any more info on these pads, and if 3m has any thoughts about doing something smaller.
