The blue Hydro pads rock with the 105/KBM. I like them better than the orange pad and love the way they carry the product on the top of the pad.

Glad I hadn't clicked the "Check out Now" button before I saw your post.

I'm gonna get two blue and two tangerine 5.5" Hydro-Tech pads for KBM, and I'm gonna get two orange, two white, and two black LC 5.5" constant pressure classic flats. Must resist urge to get new backing plate...

Re: Pad discussion...

Im eyeing the new hydrotech pads myself. I don't know why the have to call one "cyan", whats wrong with just plain ol blue? Confuses me I wonder if they chose these colors based on the Florida Gators football team?

Re: Pad discussion...

If those HydroEdge Tangerine pads are as similar to the Griot's orange as I think they are, they oughta prove very popular.

I seem to be the only guy here how uses the Griot's orange with M205 and other such stuff

Re: Pad discussion...

After reading this I checked PAC and they have 4, 5.5 and 6.5" hydrotech pads on a good sale. Now, if I could just sell all those CCS 6.5 pads I don't need!

I know right... I don't even use the ones I have enough to wear them out and throw them away.. I'm stuck with these things.. Good thing I don't have many. Most were just freebies that were added to other orders.

Griot's has so much cool stuff, I'm afraid to start ordering, for fear I'd never stop. Kinda like Best Buy.... I'm not allowed to go there without adult supervision.

Re: Pad discussion...

Isn't the new difference in pads the open cell and close cell idea. The new closed cell keep the polish on the surface of the pad so the KBM rocks with them. correct me if I'm wrong. I think the hydro, sonus, and 3m euro use this closed cell? I have heard rumors that so does megs......I really like the megs yellow and black. I love PFW yellow black combo. I am learning to love the megs pads more and more, the size does not bother me.

Cheers,
GREG

Re: Pad discussion...

I believe the Megs yellow and tan pads are open celled foam unless they've been changed. The LC white is a closed cell type of foam.

Er...I don't get it...that seems to be your polisher on the right...how are you going to drive the hex in the Edge pads with what looks like a round end??
