Seeing is believing-video

Had an absolutely hammered 335i to detail today, to top it off, it was jet black.

I decided to try what I know of the KB method. Meguiars #105 fully primed into an orange Soft Edge cutting pad, then a few pea sized dots of polish. Heavy pressure, slow movement, pretty close to rotary results.

I got that pad from my Optimum distributor to try. I believe American Buffing makes them and Excel Detail sold them as Propel II pads.

I mostly use Meguiars pads (I can get them locally) but I am always open to try others when I come across them.

I think most who have been using the KB method longer than me use 5.5" orange cutting pads. I do believe using a 5.5" pad vs the 6.5" pad I was using could have given me somewhat faster results.

I'll post up a full write-up on that car later this evening.

Re: Seeing is believing-video

Scottwax that is some significant improvement as you mentioned.
Looking forward to your write up.

Have you thought of a microphone to hookup with the camera? Or can you do a voice over on your camera when your voice seems to fade away when you are working the area.
