PC Use: If you were to choose ONE LC pad for jeweling, and glaze/LSP application....

I'm looking for on-hand pad volume through simplistic efficiency. I'm tired of the tiny nuances towards the finer side of the pad density/aggressiveness scale. I want lots of pads on hand, but concentrated in just a few different pad types. I don't PC enough to justify the cost of 5+ pads in the 7-8 different types of foams they produced.

What I'm looking at is having a large quantity of orange, white, and (the point of this thread) grey/red/blue/gold pads. Out of the last grouping there, which do you think does the best job of jeweling, as well as glaze and LSP application? My first blush opinion is gray, but I want to see if that is what others would do.

And yeah I know I could use a PFW or Surbuf in the mix as well, but I don't really have a need for them at this time. Nothing I own, or take care of for friends/family, is that neglected.

For me black. It's dense enough to not soak up the product.

I tend to use alot of blue ones at that point. Softer than the black, but spreads just about anything with ease, though i've never tried using a nuba wax with them.

I would go for blue, it has no cut, gray has a very slight cut, does not absorb product much, good for lsp, glaze, and jeweling.

If you want to go for *simplicity*, I'd try the new tangerine pad. It seems like it oughta be similar to the orange *Griot's* polishing pad, and IMO that's about the most versatile pad ever.

No, it's not a super-mild pad, but when the subject is simplicity related to pads I just have to mention it.
