PC7424XP...what else?

So I just picked up a new PC and plan on giving my car a good detai before winter. Its a 2001 Volvo S60 that has been regulary washed/waxed but is due for a good detail. It has light to medium swirls and imperfections but is in pretty good shape for a 8 year old car.

So far my plan of attack is of follows (wash/clay before)...
Wolfgang TSR - CSC 6.5" Orange pad
Wolfgang Finishing Glaze - CSC 6.5" White pad
Wolfgang DGPS - CSC 6.5" Blue pad
Wolfgang Fuzion Wax - by hand

Has anyone had experience with one or all of these products? I would like to stick with one brand to keep it as simple as possible.

Re: PC7424XP...what else?

Just because you stick to one brand doesnt mean it will be simple. Example: Menzerna

Id suggest using products that are easy to work with and give great results. I make this statement mostly in reference to your choice of polishes. Id suggest something like Poorboys SSR2.5/1 or Megs 105/205. Now, they arent quite as flashy as the packaging of the Wolfgang products but I think you will find that they give very good results with minimal headaches.

Also, since you have a PC, Id suggest trying some 4" pads. You defect removal will go much faster.

And overwhelmingly, I think you will find that the feedback on the DGPS and Fuzion will be positive. You might try using the search tool to get some specific feedback.

Best wishes

The TSR and finishing glaze is equivalent to menzerna's SIP and 106FA polishes. Which are both VERY well liked and used by MANY.

I highly suggest them, and think you will be more then happy with the results you get from that combo.

Okay, i will stick with the above process and go with some smaller pads. 4" would take a long time can i get away with 5.5"?

You can get away with 5.5

The 4inch jsut come in very handy where you have deeper swirls or RIDS. But, the 5.5 still work much better then the 6.5 on the PC. And having the XP, with a bit more power, you will have no trouble working the 5.5's to get the proper correction.

Re: PC7424XP...what else?

I would say WOOL comes in MORE handy than 4" pads
