Maybe I'M missing something, but I thought the reason you started this thread was that you were unhappy with the results you were getting using your present process, however now you do "very well" with your Makita... :

IIRC, that sanding was done with a pneumatic DA sander, not with a PC, and it was done dry. 1999 vw bettle wiith some sanding barry theal presidential details

it just takes longer than I would like sometimes to get descent results at the price the customer pays, that what I didn't make clear. Thanks but that's not the thread...
