Ah, but noting my past experiences related to the return of Griot's products, I'm not all that confident about what'll happen if this second/replacement one goes bad

Heh heh, leaving karma and morality-in-general aside, with my luck something would come up the next day where I could really use it. And my first one broke quickly enough without any intentional help from me!

If I'm not careful I'll be back on the Griot's [stuff]-list again
