Got My First Rotary This Week....

I finally stepped it up. I Can now Do Anything.

I went with the Hitachi SP18VA. I Said screw the DeWalt because it weights in a 8.2 lbs and has a "Hard start" (Which i HATE). I was gonna get the Mikita but Lowes doesnt stock Mikita anymore and thier quality has gone down. The Hitachi Got great ratings because its pretty much the same as the Mikita. The Hitachi has a Loop handle, "Soft Start" and weights on at 6.2 LBS...all of these things i LOVE!!!

As you can see from the pics below i just finished my first Rotary Job this week..... Its already blowing my mind.

First Rotary Job FTW!!

Nice machine, I have the same one.

If you haven't, do some reading on the forum (on rotary polishing). There is tons of info from pros. Even when you think you know a lot, you still have stuff to learn.

You will love the rotary.

Ohh yeah, I have LOTS to learn. I have been watching lots of videos, reading, and going to meguires classes. I have a POS car ready for hardcore adventures with the Hitachi.

Re: Got My First Rotary This Week....

Just remember, don't get too comfortable. A rotary is a powerful tool, it can do great work fast-and it can also to great damage faster.

Keep an eye on surface temps. Don't get hard on edges and corners. Tape trim and emblems. Resist the urge to get "just a little more"

That ^^ can keep a lot of headaches from coming your way.
