Advice on Edge Pads w/Quick Connect Adaptor for FLEX

I bought a DA Flex last summer and it worked great with my 6 inch pads. The Flex is way better than my PC.

It seems like there is always something new coming out to suck up my money.
I have alot of perfectly good hook & loop 6.5 inch pads.

Well i just recently bought a Flex conversion adaptor so I can use the edge pads. I saw a video that showed how easy it is to change the pads because each pad has a hole in the middle.

However, I just read a few blogs where some detailers scratched their mirror or bumper bc the middle of the pad came in contact with the vehicle.

What are your opinions on The Edge pads with quick connect adaptor?

Pad is always centered but there is a hole in the middle of each pad. Each pad is 2 sided. Its easier to change than the hook n loop velcro system.

But then again, I dont want to risk scratching my car.

I was thinking of buying a sample kit.

Re: Advice on Edge Pads w/Quick Connect Adaptor for FLEX

I have been using the edge system for a while and never had that happen yet. I guess it could, that part is pretty far down and i think the only way something like could happen is if you put a whole lot of down pressure on the pad, or maybe if you your polishing very close to the middle of that pad upside down it could hit .Just to let you know i have all 3 of the edge connectors for the PC,Flex and Rotary.
