3m or w66 backing plate

Out of this two, Which one is better. Which one actually has good contact with the paint. Which one would last longer. Which one has less problems.

I would be very surprised if you could tell the difference while buffing. As far as your other questions they are pretty tough to answer. I have never heard of either one having problems or failing early...or at all for that matter.
