How do CCS and flat LC pads compare?

Detailed Image seems to be having a sale on Lake Country products but they only have the flat pads. Are CCS pads really that much better, or do flat pads have their advantages as well? I kinda feel like purchasing some pads now because of the sale since I will be purchasing my first polisher ever, a Flex XC 3401 VRG, pretty soon as well. Any pad experts, I need your advice and tips from your years of experience. Thanks.

Nice purchase!! I want a 3401 myself, maybe for my birthday..but anyways...

CCS pads where the shizz when they first came out, but alot of people don't like the pockets that can reapply un broken down product back to the paint. I myself don't have a probelm using either one, but since this is your first use, I would go for the flat pads.

I prefer flat. CCS is all hype.
