Need Help with Flex BP

Hey guys, while polishing up my truck with my flex da, the backing plate started shedding on me... i called flex and they were very helpful and actually sent me a new backing plate that was here in like 3 days!

But anywho, on to my question....the gentleman at flex said to use motor oil to grease things before putting the new backing plate on, and to be completely honest im not even sure where to start....what size allen wrench have you guys used to take the backing plate off? What do i grease and where does the felt ring mix into the equation (separate from the backing plate)......any help would be appreciated guys, thanks!
