Is IP/#83 on PFW followed by FP/#80 too big a jump on Acura paint?

I'm helping my buddy detail his 2002 TL in about an hour and a half. I was curious if following IP or #83 on purple foamed wool with FP on a finishing pad would be too big a step to avoid holograms on soft black paint.

Re: Is IP/#83 on PFW followed by FP/#80 too big a jump on Acura paint?

I don't believe it is. PFW is not as aggressive as foam cutting pads like LC yellow or DAS white pads and I've often gone from IP on DAS white or orange (which I think is similar to LC orange) straight down to FPII on a finishing pad with good results.

However, I do this with a UDM (spd 6 w/ IP; spd 3-4 w/ FPII) on comparably soft metallic black Toyota paint.
