Cyclo heads are not spinning evenly?

Not certain if this is normal or not - if I turn on my cyclo, let it run for a few seconds, then turn it off, one of the heads keeps spinning ~10-12seconds longer than the other. The same head that spins longer also looks "different" when the machine is on - the only way I can describe it is that if I look at the other "normal" head when it is spinning, the motion looks smooth and unbroken. This head (the one that spins longer at shut-off) ,the motion looks choppier, like it is getting broken up. Also, I could swear that the head is changing direction, starting off clockwise but eventually reversing and turning counter-clockwise.

Does this sound normal, or does it sound like that head that is spinning longer may be loose? if it is loose, are there any directions on how to tighten it?

The one head is *not* reversing direction in the sense of it's elliptical path, that I'm sure of but note that the "randomness of the "random orbital" action comes from the heads being able to spin in either direction while being driven along their elliptical path by the motor; one half of the dual-action is motor-driven and the other half is free-spinning.

If you can live without the thing for a while, I'd send it to the guys at Cyclotoolmakers and have them check it out. They're good and honest, and they won't do unnecessary work just to get some of your money. Or at least give 'em a call and talk it over...again, they're nice, helpful folks. Link: Cyclo Toolmakers

I think mine always do that, I'm pretty sure it's not a problem, might just need to be cleaned inside.
