I've toyed with the idea of getting that 3" RO from Griot's too. I don't expect it to really do anything my other polishers won't do, but it might be handy is some weird instance where its compact dimensions would be useful.
But 99.999% of the time, I'd expect a PC to do the job just as well. With a DA/RO machine you can just tilt the pad and use the edge...there's no real *need* for a smaller pad (so it'd be the overall size of the *machine* that could be handy).
But note that the Griot's orange pads are mighty gentle (not at all like other orange pads) so I dunno just what kind of correction I'd expect from it.
Eh...I'm a polisher junky...I'll probably drop hints about getting one for Christmas or something.
for some reason, i just can't get myself to purchase any Griots machine. they seem like cheap imitation knock-offs. if i were to purchase a 3" random orbital, i would buy the Metabo polisher SXE400 instead...
So how would something like the above mentioned Metabo work on headlights? I currently use my cordless drill with some smaller pads. But I would think that the higher RPM's would be beneficial! No? Yes?
