Flex XC3401 VRG

Hi there guy's, I am wanting to puchase a Flex XC 3401 VRG and have it shipped to the UK. Detailed Image have a great Polisher & Lake Country Pad offer, but another company that I approched who unfortunatly do not ship outside North America told me to make sure I ask for 230v model, are these readily available as it would save me having to purchase a 240v-110v transformer. Please advise Thanks Terry

Since the USA standard is 120 v I doubt there is a market here for 230 v models. You're going to have to contact (e-mail or call) different vendors until you find one that will order you a 230 v version and will also ship to the UK.

Not quite sure why you want to import this from the USA, but if you can't find a 230 v version or someone over here willing to order one I'd buy one from the UK. For the convenience of not having to mess with a transformer I'd be more than willing to pay more.

I'd just search through all the flex threads in this forum and find the different vendors guys have been buying them from. Good luck!

Re: Flex XC3401 VRG

Thanks John, Price here for 240v £301 and as you know I can import a 110v from USA with pad kit inc shipping $395 = £201 I can purchase transformer here for £25. If I was to buy UDM/G220/PC I would still need transformer but would sooner have a better machine. What do you think. P.s Love the alias

Personally I'd really not want to bother with a transformer if at all possible. It's just another bulky/heavy piece to mess with, especially if you take the Flex to another location to do some work. On-the-other-hand if it would save me $150 (£75 if I'm doing my math correctly) I just might put up with a transformer.

I guess I'd call or e-mail as many Flex vendors in the states that I could find to see if they could order a 240v version and ship it to the UK. If you can't find a 240v from the states you just have to decide if you want to save £75 or have a 240v Flex.

I would look at the specs (amps) on the 110v Flex to make sure you get a transformer that will handle the current load.

Re: Flex XC3401 VRG

We are in the same boat here. lets hope it doesn't sink..

I also want the Flex 3401 VRG and it is expensive like f*ck in norway som im not buying the 220\240v machine in norway atleast.. I would save more than you do in uk for buying it in the us with 120v but I would also need a converter like you.. Could you pop me a message if you find a 240v machine for a better price than 300+£

and also the cheapest converter I found on ebay that could handle 1k watts of continous use was a 2000w converter that was about 175$

so if you find a cheaper one that works or a flex 3401 VRG wich is 240v pleazzze let me know.

Re: Flex XC3401 VRG

95supra, over in the uk there is plenty of second hand transformers as alot of builders etc use them for 110v site tools, I have just got one for £25 1KV, the only supplier I found in USA who supplies 240v machine was www.topofthelinedetailingsupplies.com $294 for polisher and pad kit but they will not ship outside North America hope this helps. ps mine is on its way and cant wait to give it a go cheers Terry

Re: Flex XC3401 VRG

The link did not work for me.. Is it possible to get a 240v machine in U.S
Even if they dont ship outside us, I guess I could get someone kind and trustworthy here to ship it to me if I paid them for the trouble.

Re: Flex XC3401 VRG

i doubt you will find anyone in the us that will stock a 220v unit. i stock Flex and i have made some calls and i can get them, but special order and expensive. Flex has minimum orders on the 220v unit and will only ship fedex air from germany! 95supra PM if you decide to go through with it.
