I just got my Makita today (yeah birthdays )
Can anyone give me some info on the wool pad that comes with the kit?
I've always used foam when I borrowed the shop Makita, so I'm a little scared to use wool for the 1st time
Thanks

I would just toss it and buy some quality wool. You're going to have to order some other pads and backing plates anyway even if you did use it (to clean up the mess it leaves). Keep the backing plate though, it works with LC PFW 6.5".

I just put my order in for some Lake County CCS foam pads. I guess it's best to stay with what I know...
I'm really glad now that I didn't try that wool pad out on that dark blue Civic I did yesterday. It could have been a scary 1st day with my new toy

I think you'll find that they work much better/safer/easier/faster than cutting foam.

I accidentally put 7227, but I know the model code is 9227 and it's driving me nuts to see that mistake every day

I have used their full wool pad on paint and felt it performs just as well.

But I thought I'd share my experience in case anybody was shopping.
