UDM and menzerna on an audi

after a full season of having my car in the elements i decided to buy up all the necessary products to try and tackle the defects (light-medium swirls, water marks)

i bought the UDM and Menz IP and FP....

i use the IP with an orange pad and FP with a white pad

basically the only question i have is how do i know when to stop buffing?

i noticed the IP with an orange pad takes a bit less time to work in than FP with a white pad...but should i be buffing both until it basically starts to dust??

i just worry that im not working it in enough...i put an 'x' on a 6.5" pad and work it at speed 5 for about 2 minutes...i suspect it might take more like 3-4 minutes but im getting impatient

An "X" is a large amount of product to be using for one pass, especially once the pad has been primed. A couple small dots is all you should be using once you get started. That may be why it doesn't seem like the polish is breaking down enough. You basically want to work a section until the residue turns almost clear. Also, what speed are you working everything at?

I hope you're using 4" pads. Audi/VW clears are pretty freakin hard.
