Be sure to check the allen screw that holds the backing plate on, there have been a bunch of loose ones from the factory that has caused damage to the backing plate. I would also check it before each detail.

When you take off the backing plate there is a felt ring that some say needs some light machine oil - I oiled mine but I had backing plate damage even with a tight allen screw. I ended up filing down the back plate so it doesn't make contact with the housing and that seem to of solved the problem. I do like the machine but it does have problems with the backing plates!

that isn't going to be the case for everyone. just like anything else, there will be few problems here and there...

Very nice setup. Be very careful about using the yellow cutting foam pads, though. I'd use the PFW pads every time instead of the yellow cutting foam. Those pads are just nasty.
