Re: What to do on plastic bumper?

What do you mean what to do ?, do you mean do we polish it ?

I use a 4" polishing pad on a rotary for most bumpers since they normally have the most scuffs and stone chips and the rotarty takes them out faster.

Re: What to do on plastic bumper?

If you arent experienced with the rotary, then it might be a good idea to use the PC and 4" pad.

Re: What to do on plastic bumper?

What speed and what color of pad do you go with on the rotary for removing scratches in a plastic bumper?

Same as with paint on metal, but now that I've discovered the LC 3.5" PFW pads I'd use those instead of foam cutting pads (for the serious initial work if required). The whole plastic bumper/rotary worry just doesn't seem to be a huge issue to me...just be careful, keep the speeds down, keep it moving, and stay off edges.

Or just use the PC. With the 3.5" PFW pads it'll do most anything that gentle rotary work will do.
