55amg polishing out swirls

Hi i have a job comming up on a 55amg, i have the use of a PC, flex and a 849 rotary along with a good many pads to choose from. i belive the 55 amg is a 2001 or 2002 model.
1. how hard is the clear on this and do you think 106 will do the job .I have orange, white and yellow pads . for the Pc and flex for the rotary i have some edge yellow ,green and blue along with on either blue or green wool, Also have one PWF for the flex. which one do you think will do the job i haven't used the woll pad yet and a little scared to use it on this car. time is not a problem i can keep it for 2 days so i can take the time needed to do a really nice job.
2. the marks are from what i could see were not too deep but plenty of them on the whole car, i only saw the car when it was very dusty not clean so that will make a difference on how bad the swirls really may be.

so which pad combo and polish do you all think will work best I was goign to try the white pad first to see just how much it woul ddo then maybe try orange or the pfw either on the flex or the rotary if i choose to use the rotary being i am very new with one everybody has said to keep the speed low i was looking at 1000 to maybe 1400 being the high .Aany more thoughts are more than welcome i need to know as much as i can before i tackle this job for a friedn and if all turns out well it can lead a good many more cars frrom him in the future.

Re: 55amg polishing out swirls

A 2002 doesn't have ceramic clear. Traditional polishes should work fine. You will need one aggressive enough-probably along the lines of IP.

Re: 55amg polishing out swirls

megs 83 with an orange pad...just start there, dont waste time by trying out the white pad...

then hit it with white and 106

then wax...

stand back and admire the awesome car you just detailed...I love those!!
