New udm

Well I just got my udm. I was wondering if theres any thing I need to do to it before I try my hand at using it. Probably a stupid question, just don't want to start using it and then it breaks 5 minutes later because I forgot to do something, lol. Thanks!!

It's pretty hard to break one unless it's defective. Read through the manual, make sure the backing plate is secure, and take a look at the following thread; it has a link to a great PC guide:

Just an FYI, I never put the handle on mine, I find it easier to just cup my hand over the end of the PC or UDM.
