Makita 9227 works great for me. I love their unique wrap around bail handle. No other polisher can compare to that. I use it all the time during polishing. Plus, don't forget about the spindle lock built into the polisher that makes changing backing plates super easy.

Sweet Mother...Bosch makes a rotary!!! I'm sending a note to Bosch USA to see if there are any plans to bring it to the states.

Well, by your own standards you ruled out all the machines you listed except for the makita. So I would suggest.........

Talked to Bosch this morning and the gal had really no more information for me. No current plans to introduce to the U.S. I tried making a business case to bring it here with the other big tool manuacturers having one here, along with some of the other German companies, such as Flex and Metabo.

I went to this site and the best price I could get was $239.95 with free shipping. Do you need a discount code to get 15% off?

Don't get me started on that button. DO NOT press it when the machine is spinning down.

I *have* to have that bale handle, so it's Makita all the way for me, but I'd recommend the flex if you want a different rotary. You can totally get away with 7.5" LC pads - the contact area is 6.5" or less due to the mushroom shape.
