Lake County pad discoloration.

I did my first polish yesterday and used 1 orange pad and 2 white pads. Everything seemd to go very well. I cleaned to pads last night with the Snappy pad cleaner in my sink. The orange pad I used the SIP on and the white pad I used some Zaino PC on both came perfectly clean and returned to their new color. The white pad I used the grey Nano Polish on turned orange in the center? Does anyone have any ides?

Re: Lake County pad discoloration.

Never noticed this with my white LC pads. Can you post a pic?

The one on the right was used for the nano polish (grey). I soaked them all and cleaned them the say way but that one stained for some reason.

Re: Lake County pad discoloration.

The same thing happens to my white pad when I use 106ff, just a property of the polish I guess. Nothing to worry about, I don't think it hurts anything. I keep using the same white pad for 106ff and no issues at all. Just continue to dedicate your pads to the same polish (don't mix) and you should be fine.

Re: Lake County pad discoloration.

Staining like that should not affect the performance of the pad.

Re: Lake County pad discoloration.

yup, my white LC pad (only the css ones) turned orange after 106ff. My non-css haven't seemed to be affected by 106...go figure :\

Re: Lake County pad discoloration.

my old Sonus SFX pad was bright pink after using SSR1... it'll never get completely clean, it's just stained for life. But so long as you clean it good you can still use it. Might try some Dawn Power Dissolver though, heard good things about that stuff here.

Re: Lake County pad discoloration.

Yup, my white LC pads do that if I use 106 with em, too.
