Lightbulb Polish broken down?

Hey guys...noob over here getting into the world of detailing.

Quick question. I've watched countless Youtube videos and various tutorials from multiple sites on polishing cars. My question may be fairly simple to many of you, but....

how can you tell when the polish has been fully broken down?

im not sure if it depens on the product, or is there a general rule of thumb for being able to tell when the product is broken down and ready to be buffed off with a MF towel. Thanks in advance guys/girls.

Re: Polish broken down?

It goes from white (or product color) to an oily almost clear look.
