Because the UDM are readily available here in Canada and the PC is tougher to get and more expensive. I think this is also the reason
Meg's is switching from the PC/G100 as well. I wouldn't be surprise if Meg's new DA is made from the same source as the UDM, most proberly in China. I have no problems if they made there as long as the price and reliability is as good or better than the PC.
I had the detailer at one of the new car dealers get the UDM, so far so good, but he use his rotary most of the time and the UDM just for applying wax/sealent, but it should give me an idea how well the UDM holds up.
