New PC 7424 user!

Hey Autopia!

I've been detailing my 2006 MINI Cooper S ever since I got her, she's a garage queen I'll admit being a 2006 with only 5k nearly 6k miles, last year I think she was only at 1.6k around this time, so I did put a few miles on her within the year. So my friend has used his FLEX Rotary with Menzerna polish on her back in late December, and I have borrowed my friend's PC to use before as well. I usually do things by hand, but I figured it was time to get a PC, so I hopped on eBay found a unit, made him a offer, and it's on my way to me! Here is a link to the auction. My question was, what else would you guys buy? Would anyone perhaps know what pads those are, seller doesn't really have much knowledge on the unit other than he bought it from a site called 'autodetailingsolutions.com' also he doesn't have the wrench that comes with it, is that really that necessary and could I pick one up locally, or are they only avaliable online? Lastly, what else would you guys pick up for this unit? I have already used a PC before, and I have a lot of different cleaners, glaze/sealers, and LSP waxes! Time to get busy!

Motor On,
Joe

Here's a few pictures of my 2006 MINI Cooper S

If I remember correctly, I think those pictures were taken when she was wearing a coat of Swissvax forgot which one as a LSP!

Re: New PC 7424 user!

the pads are megs
red = cutting
yellow = polishing
biege = finishing

the wrench in only needed to change the backing plate
it needs to be a thin wrench to get in there
if you need one take it to a bike shop they should have one that fits

also get some dawn power dissolver to clean those pads they look like they could use it

good luck
