Something to add to SIP to work in cold weather?

Is there anything you guys add to SIP to make it more workable in cold weather? i add about 2 pea drops of meguiars solo polish and it kinda works but not that good.

I just did a whole car in SIP in temps 25 and below. It came out good, but it took a long, long time to break it down.

Have you tried misting some water in the panel to increase the working time?

huh.. for me, it seems like it has a shorter working time and dust/chalk up right away... even while trying to just spread it.

Al Buff, same for me, it disappeared on me instantly in the cold temps... I will have to try the recommendations of mixing and see how it does. Luckily it is supposed to be 60 here tomorrow so I shouldn't have to mix anything to make it work right.

I find ZPC buffs forever in cold weather-if you have some try adding that. Also, the abrasives in SIP are extremely hard so a long work time will be needed and even then I doubt that they actually fully break down.

Interesting. Was the SIP also very cold, or was it room temperature? Mine was room-temperature when spread on the cold panels.

huh.. i do leave it in the back of my truck so its probably pretty cold. i might trying putting on the floor of my truck and putting the heater on to warm it up next time. thanks!

My bottle was warm as it was in my closet, but the panel was cold. I have yet to try a recommendation on putting a halogen on the panel prior to working it to heat it up to a tempurature that would help the polish fully break down and allow for longer working time. I would assume if the polish was cold you could also put a halogen on it for a bit and that would help.
