Re: Pc Vs. Udm

Since you already have a PC, the Flex is probably a better choice. If didn't have a buffer and were trying to decide between the PC and the UDM, then the UDM is definitely a better choice.

Re: Pc Vs. Udm

My last detail, I kept the Flex going for FMJ application, as I feel a little more comfortable with it nowadays. If time is not an issue (getting out other machine, pads, etc.), then my preference is to use the PC, as it is much more manueverable as frostydog mentioned. Also, having ability to use 4" spot pads is nice for tight places.

Re: Pc Vs. Udm

Got a PC already? Knowledge, skill, practice, patience, polish and pad selection makes the PC and UDM about equal. At this point the PC has a much better track record for dependability.

IMHO
Get a rotary and learn to use it and increase your versatility and ability to eliminate blemishes.

Starting out? The Flex appears to be the better choice.

Re: Pc Vs. Udm

I'd suggest using a PC or UDM with 4 inch pads and a more powerful machine such as the Flex, Ridgid 2611 or rotary with 6.5 inch pads.
