Hey guys, curious if a PC will help shorten the time of detailing vehicles. As far as products such as AIO, SG, ZPC, polishes... synthetic waxes... etc? After watching the autogeek video demonstration, and learning that its best to apply carnubas by hand, it doesn't seem like it'll lessen my time all that much?

Yes. Probably would cut a good 25% off your time without a PC.

have you even used these products or a pc????
if not how can you give advice??

now back to the op's question
with the AIO/SG I like use them by hand as I think it is easier
to control the amount used and they work very well by hand

I have not use the zanio stuff so no comment

but if you car has defects that you want removed I think that the only good way to remove they is with a pc or rotary

PC hands down is much faster than by hands...no pun intended

grab a light polishing pad and a finishing pad and you should be good to go

It will save you alot of time now and alot of time for years to come. And a few less bottles of Aleeve. Think of it long term not just short term

also take in consideration that a pc will give you better results in the long run than your hands ever will, and not to mention you will use less product. plus, you won't wake up the next morning with sore arms...

as far as removing light scratches, marring, swirls, & other defects, I'd say it will save you time, provided you're using the right products.

HOWEVER... you'll probably spend more time (overall) detailing vehicles... as once you see the results you can achieve, you'll become more and more obsessive about the quality of your work and the look of your vehicles... it's a slippery slope!

    to answer you edited question

if you are going to use it only to apply chemical creaners(AIO)
and LSP(SG) the only thing it will save you is from a sore arm
and a small amount of product and a small amount of time

now if you are going to use a polish to improve the finish
before the AIO & SG and actually detail the car
(if you don't use a pc you are just washing and waxing not detailing)
you will never be able the match the results by hand

so if you want your car to look it's best you need to use a machine.
