    Hey all,

I am thinking of making the jump to a PC. I would like to start with a complete kit and have been checking out the kits sold on the sister car care site.

My question is which kit to get the one with DAS pads, or the SFX? Then again maybe all the pads are junk and need to look somewhere else. I thank all those who respond.

Some say the SFX are a little more agressive through the 3 grades compared to the DAS ones, but either i'm sure will be fine. I personally went for the DAS pad kit

When I ordered mine I went for an SFX kit and bought a separate DAS pad kit - both are good, but I find the DAS ones more "pliable" and user friendly.

In my experience, the Sonus pads are as good as any others. I like them. I initially went with the DAS kit and have the SFX spot pads, but prefer the DAS pads for most buffing. I've also got some wolfgang pads that seem to be a little different construction and they're okay, but I prefer the Sonus pads.

The DAS pads are rounded-edge pads, which helps to get them moving smoothly over the surface, while the SFX (at least the spot pads) are not rounded and makes them a little more work to control easily (not that it's hard, just different). For starters, I'd have no hesitation recommending the DAS pads. I do believe the SFX pads are more aggressive.

Thanks to you all. That is just enough info for me to place my order, especially while the kit is on sale!

    Again thank you

I have both, and depending on paint condition use one either or both.
