To say this guy is a professional in any sense of the word is something to laugh at! Of course, he will probably remove those comments just like he did on his own videos where everyone was calling him out...too funny!

Jeff, next time you are in the so cal area, I would love to have you "show me" how to polish a hood, seriously!

Sir I just wanted to know why you would delete my question to you about why it is that I never see you fold your clay or check it to see if has any abrasive objects embedded in it. I have yet to see you change or even clean your wool pad with a spur to remove contents that might possibly scratch the painted surface that you are trying to buff out. I mean this would be at a minimum what most of the people in this profession do when in action. Can you please explain and extrapolate your action in videos. Thank you Sir for your time.

First off, as a moderator of Autopia, Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry that many of our members see things differently then you do. Keep in mind that you have some of the world's best detailers on this site. Our members range from people who are new to detailing to some of the worlds finest talent. Then there are some very educated people in the automotive industry on this site. Many people read this site, some in which just lurk and not say a word. Then there are others who like to speak there mind. This is a great site indeed. We are very open about many things. As Autopians we try to practice the safest and most effectivce methods when it comes to vehicle car care. Im sure there are other ways of doing things. trust me I have made many mistakes over my career as a detailer. If you feel your methods for overspray removal are the right way. I would love to hear why. I think its great that you have traveled the world doing what you love to do. Detailing cars has taken me many places as well. I look foward to hearing more about your process in depth.

Seems like things have gotten a little out of hand for you on this and on a few other forums? Moving forward and in case you’ve been turned off by what has occurred up to now, I’d like to re-invite you back to Autopia and allow you the opportunity to express yourself in hopefully a little more professional manner. I’ve actually followed your techniques for quite a while and as a matter of fact you are on the vendor list to the Insurance Company I work for as an Auto Appraiser. Even though your technique for removing paint overspray is quite unorthodox to most, I can attest that it can come in handy when performed properly. The way in which you “blade” the surface effortlessly shows that you are at the highest echelon with this technique. And I’m certain that you are well versed on using it in such a manner that it does not harm the paint because if you did you’d not be in business this long. I just beg to differ that the way you finish your work (via pad/product selection) leaves much to be desired for based on the Autopian values our members exemplify here. For example, having used literally 100’s of gallons of Auto Magic’s polishing compounds throughout the decades has given me an up front and personal knowledgebase on the limitations and precise uses for the line. Having said this you might want to reconsider implementing some kind of final polishing step with a medium or finishing foam pad (with BC-2) so it can knock down the buffer holograms created by the previous wool pad step I’ve seen you finish with. You can test this workflow by wiping down a few test spots with alcohol to see the true finish that will/may be left behind after the filling properties of BC-2 (which is a glaze that has cut and protection) are exhausted. Just because the final product looks good at the time of delivery doesn’t also mean it will hold up looking this way!

In my prior life I actually did warranty paint repair work for about 15 new car dealers as well as for Ford Motor Company directly when they had fallout mishaps at their metro Detroit assembly plants. I realize that the overspray business is huge and there are a lot of big contenders that concentrate on these specialty jobs. More power to you that you’ve been able to firmly plant yourself within this segment and travel the world performing your craft. That is why someone like you could maybe be able to hone your skills to a more specialty market of professionals such as us? I can see both you and the professional community winning from this peaceful coexistence? I can just vision you posting your videos here just to pacify our taste for the craft? Oh, who knows? Regardless, keep on keeping on.....

You can't polish trim pieces with a filler. You can't deny the work done in this videos, I am not just removing overspray I am restoring these pieces in the process. No one has ever even thought about buffing these parts of a vehicle. You have to admit this is not anything you have every seen before. I am very proud of the fact that when I am in another country preforming my never duplicated work to vehicles, they know that its coming out of America. My videos are also watched by other overspray companies, keeping this in mind I don't reveal every step or every product that I use. BC-2 is just one of the products that I use. I also use Meguiars, 3M, & WolfGang trim dressing and others products. I make the videos so that insurers, contractors, and individuals can observe the process. I am not just buffing with BC-2 and calling it a day. This is just one step of a five step process. I only use BC-2 because it is very low on the abrasive scale. Auto Magic is the product that all of the other companies use, and I want to make them think that it is all I use. I have over 25 different polishes and wax products. I am always wanting to try new products, and would like to try some that are sold through this site. If I like the products, I will make a video demonstrating me using them on a vehicle damaged with overspray. When I make a video Google will make ad featuring that video. Jeff - Did you read my response about BC-2? It's a polish that has wax in it. Waxes don't have abrasives in them? And, believe me it can and will fill buffer trails.

If you look at Auto Magic's web-site, they actually list it under the Polishes/Glazes section. Here's the link: Car Care Polish Glazes and Wax by Auto Magic

Plus, their abrasive meter puts it in the low sector as well. Heck, if you don't believe me then feel free to call Auto Magic's training rep Rick Schmidt for confirmation. Tell him I say hi.

And, I'm not denying your work or your success. And yes, your blading technique is original. I'm not trying to take anything away from you on this. And you should remain being proud about your accomplishments. I just think that the people on this forum are aligned differently then yours in respect to workflow.

I see you've chosen to completely ignore David Fermani's post. I will pull out the specific part that addresses your concern, and ask that you please read and try to absorb it:

Yes, it can and does fill, but it also has abrasives in it that when combined with the right pad (and process) can and will remove defects. It's not like a typical glaze that only enhances shine and nothing more. It's actually a really nice product! Works awsome with all types of pads. (and no, haven't tried it with MF or SB pads )
