Hi everyone.
Have been learning a lot from this forum. Thanks everyone!
Ive got a very stupid question but the thing is I borrow a flex polisher from a friend travelling overseas and he let me use it so I want to work on family and friends cars.
I will do a friends Ford Falcon sporty model (Im in Australia) and the bumpers and other parts of the car are all plastic but have the same colour as the car. Can I use the same cut compound and technics on these plastic parts or I have to treat it differently?
Thanks a lot!
John

Re: Stupid Question
Because of the flex agent in paint on plastic parts it may correct a bit differently then the metal panels, though it won't be drastic enough to have to change technique.
One thing to watch for is that because the plastic does not radiate heat like metal does it is easier to burn a plastic panel.

just be careful on plastic panels. Use slower speeds and check the plastic often to prevent any burning of the paint.
