Porter Cable 7424XP counterweight

Can I please hear from anyone that owns a new PC 7424XP if their unit came with a 5" or 6" counterweight...

Hey, that's a good question. I have one 7424 (G100) and one 7336, the 7424 came with the 5" CW and the 7336 the 6"...I changed the 7424 to the 6" but there have been many discussions here as to whether this really matters when you factor in the relative mass of the PC sanding disc setup vs. the weight of a car polishing pad and BP.

Received mine last week, came with a 5" weight.

A 5" counterweight comes with the 7424XP. The 6" counterweight is just $2-3 extra (sold separately). I wouldn't even think about guessing about proper CW use for that price (although, it's a bit of a pain to change weights, mid-job).

Stock is 5", but many places bundle the 6" or sell it for a couple bucks extra...

Our GlossHaus kits come with the 6" installed since we're using the LC 6.5" pads...
