Ever consider that some people might use their Hummers? How can you possibly tell just by looking at someone why they bought their vehicle and whether or not it was justified?

Who are we to judge people for their choice of a larger vehicle?

Back on topic... I find that the old guy would make a lovely poster-child for a hypocrite cliche picture- considering there will not need to be all kinda of sanding of paint off of the truck and WASTED chemicals and paint and all kinds of chemical and physical waste to fix that. REALLY good for the environment...

I'm sure the 18 year old kid had a really good reason for needing a hummer, lol.

What I don't get is how you can't tell the difference between a Honda and a BMW, and if you think the guy that did the crime was a "Green Nazi", is it that hard to guess what kind of car he was driving?

What was the line from Borat when looking to buy a Hummer?

"How fast do I have to be going to kill a gypsie?"

It'd be fun to see how this guy would match up in a chicken match vs. a Hummer.

I see this as job security.

Re: Old guy vandalizes a Hummer, gets caught on the surveillance camera

I could go on and on about how much I don't like Hummers. By the way, how do you actually "USE" an H2. It's not really sturdy enough to be a true off-roader. It's too big and cumbersome for city streets. Apparently, it's really great if you need to solve crimes in Miami. As someone who has lived outside of Southlake for years, I guarantee you that this particular one has never seen more dirt than when it might have been used to cut across an embankment to exit the freeway (a Dallas/Fort Worth pasttime). That being said, it's not this guys place to decide who gets to drive what and how to punish them. He will get what is coming to him eventually.

People that key cars = beat on by owner, imo.
I have a customer who owns an H2 and a Smart Car.

"I want to have a car that attract a woman with a shave down below".

"Well that would be a Corvette. Or a Hummer"

Vandals are the absolute scum of the planet, IMO. Unlike theives, vandals don't even have anything to gain from their actions.

I have no problems with Hummers or their drivers. I think they are pretty cool.

Huh??? You "hate" people you don't know?

Unless this man has a serious issue with the driver which warrants such an action (and there probably wasn't), then this old man ought to pay.
Huh #2??? When is keying someone's car "warranted". If you have beef with someone, there are means at resolving problems without destruction of personal property, no?

Re: Old guy vandalizes a Hummer, gets caught on the surveillance camera

Whats really funny in the video is that the guy walks right past a Ford F-150 4 door which gets what 14mpg city. It just goes to show how simplistic these Greenies think. Why stop at the Hummer? How about an S600?

Sweet video setup on the Hummer though I'm surprised car manufacturers haven't picket up on this whole surveillance thing. I mean why only use the back up camera for reverse, why not have it run when the security system is engaged? How long would it take before the number of door ding violations came down

Everyone has their own taste and needs. I personally don't care if someone drives a tank every day.

I do find it interesting that a lot of "green" types focus on Hummers, Escalades, etc... but not on older cars (particularly older performance cars). I can pretty much guarantee an F40 or '70 Chevellle or Cuda AAR or Testarossa are all burning more gas than a Hummer.

True, but you don't see one (or two in my area) of those at every single traffic light like you do H2s and Escalades.

NO I feel the same way after driving to work one day in the snow in my camaro
and I had to pass a Hummer because every time ther was more then 2" of snow on the ground he would come to a stop for no reason in the middle of the road

I was fine with him doing 1/2 of the speed limit because of the snow
and I was keeping a good distance between usbut this guy was just a hazzard

people who key car should be shot on site
