Custom sound box

Hi all I'll like to know if there is site on the web with intructions, steps and pictures on how to make your own subwoofer box, I'll like to put some neons on it too. I Just want the basics. Also, should I put a crossover unit in just to control a 10'' sub and single Amp??

Building a good box depends entirely on the speaker units that will be used in it. Each speaker will have its own specifications that will determine the optimum volume (air capacity) of the box. Given that you know these specifications for your subs, you may be able to construct one using speaker box building software.

I would definitely advise using either a passive (ok) or active (better) low-pass filter for the signals you are feeding to your subs - they are intended to reproduce only the very lowest range of audible frequencies (<200Hz) and won't work at all well if they are fed a full range signal.

Mmm, they'll be able to tell you ideal volumes, but I don't see the sub manufacturer being that helpful on how-to's to custom-fab sub boxes.

Are you assuming? Because if you ever called what ever brand of sub you have I'd bet that they went out of their way to help. Dude! If they don't know who TF would?
